@Al mac I know I understand eventually someone can be dropped, but this has been a really short period, not a year.
@Bob Willis I disagree. I think no one is untouchable. The better the record the more leeway you get but ultimately everyone is replaceable. Warne earned some leeway obviously but Steve Waugh made the correct call as stuart McGill was in better form and the dropping pushed Warne to play better. Starc, unlike Warne isn't an all time legend especially at Test level and has been out of form for awhile. I was calling for him to be replaced for the 4th test against India. He was woeful against India and he is out of form even against domestic players. The omission will spur Starc to work harder to regain his place. Jhye Richardson is the future of Australian cricket and he deserves a shot. I wouldn't mind them getting rid of Tim Payne at the same time not because he is bad but because he lost against India which is unacceptable and it's time that Steve Smith regain his rightful position as Captain.
@Al mac that was the wrong decision to drop warne, any great player deserves full time only they should be able to choose when it ends, they have earned that luxury.
@Bob Willis if Shane Warne could be dropped for a lack of form then so could Starc. No one is untouchable.
