@Marto2168 no one in the aussie team has ever been consistent batsman apart from their three main guys. Travis Head, Joe Burns, Marcus Harris, Matthew Wade, I would have Khawaja in for all of them. He is their most underrated batsmen, I’m English I’m not being biased either

@praveen govil that was for ODIs. Marnus, him, and Smith played a similar role so they couldn't keep all 3. I mean having him open in at least 3 of the 4 tests played.
@Clayton his performance was dipping consistently and with marnus showing the skill and consistency they had to take tough call
beats me. His record as an opener in tests is even better. Australia has at times picked players due to their likeability and was the case with picking Joe Burns. ATM Khawaja isn't that popular with Langer.

@vaibhav singhal Australia hasn't been producing nearly enough quality batsman for years, must just be the law of averages because 90's and 2000's we produced enough great batsman for a lifetime 🤣 Also Green had the best average on debut in a series for a number 6 Australian since Clarke, and he was very impressive with his 100* against India in the tour match before the series. He also has a great technique and wonderful temperament especially for a 21 year old. Green averaged 33 after 4 matches, here is some very good batsmen averages after 5 matches to prove we shouldn't judge too early. Smith 28, Kohli 22, Williamson 33, Root 36, Marnus 26, Stokes 31, Sachin 29, ABD 40, Ponting 39. Lara after 4 tests was 30 then hit 277 against an all time great Aussie team :D
@thesnackbandit I hope your words come true because it is very crucial for health of international cricket. Right now it seems India is way ahead of other nations in test cricket with New Zealand close. In ODIs also it looks there are only two good teams India and England. I hope other nations also pull up their socks for betterment of international cricket.
@vaibhav singhal Forget about Pucovski's technique. Kid can't even stay fit for 6 months he's constantly getting injured. You need not worry about the future of teams like Australia, India and England because they all have excellent domestic structures, so as long as kids want to become cricketers, quality players will come through.
@Yubbityyubba Don't get me wrong but t I think Australia doesn't have enough good quality batsmen right now. Pucovski technique seems faulty against quality pacers. Green also doesn't impress much in India series although it looks he will improve. Warner won't be playing test cricket after couple of years. So Australia will struggle against good teams. I hope they find some good batsmen soon as it will be good for international cricket. But right now Australian cricket seems to be struggling specially in batting department.

@Aamir Afridi usman after he got dropped did not perform at all at domestic level he was horrible thats why they didn't select him back in the team, his last 2 bbl campaigns have been dreadful just now he has done well mate, and Khawaja was not performing at all when he got dropped in the Ashes, explain to me what he did, nothing is your answer mate. @The Cricketer Khawaja averages 97 as an opener and in Gavasker-Border series even though David Warner was injured and Australia had no in form opener, he still didn't get the chance. No wonder India's C team made OZ team look like amateurs in their own backyard. Langer clearly doesn't want Uzzie in the team because of them arguing once or twice and is willing to give anyone a chance instead of Uzzie. Yes when he first played for Australia he was brilliant and was called the next Glen Mcgrath. Unfortunately selectors dont like Aussie bowlers that dont bowl 140km. His last 2 games were also played on disgusting MCG roads iirc, yet he still has a good record in the matches he played.
